When it comes right down to it, Spotify has not only exposed me to tons of new awesome music, while also granting me the demigod-like ability to listen to whatever song I want whenever I want it, it has also freed up at least three hours of my time.
Between Spotify album stations and my friends' feeds showing up on Facebook, I am able to encounter tons of great new music everyday for which I would normally have to spend hours mining the depths of iTunes for. It has made me bolder - there isn't the fear of buyer's remorse that went along with years of purchasing my thousands of iTunes songs (I can write a whole separate post about how many failures I've had with album purchased based on a few good songs).
Strangely, it has made me completely unashamed of listening to the same album (or even single song) on loop over and over again. At first I was like, "I don't want people to see me do this!" And then I was all like, "I don't even care, you know you do it too!"
Finally, there are few feelings better than someone telling me that my listening activity introduced them to an artist or album that blew them away. Damn skippy, I listen to good music.
