I used to work for Accenture, who would outsource workers by the thousands. The simple fact is the easiest jobs to outsource are low level finance, HR, & IT - companies that outsource other functions are considered innovative, though it is really hard for them to do it successfully.
If you do not want to be outsourced, just ask yourself some simple questions: Is my job a set of repeatable tasks? Can I train someone to do what I do in less than three months? Can someone that can only follow directions (but not think) do what I do?
If your answer is no to those questions then you pretty much are in the clear. If it is yes, then I would start looking for a new source of income or to get educated further.
The real trick to never getting outsourced is never working for someone else.
