In what year does Kali Yuga end?
An ancient Hindu saint named Pothuloori Veera Brahmendra Swamy was born and lived in Andhra Pradesh in the 17 th century A.D. (This chronology is disputed by some who put his date as far back as the 14th century or even the 9th century A.D. However, even as the language used by him is Old Telugu, it does not sound very arcane) ) But he is popularly known as Brahmam Gaaru throughout the Telugu States. He wrote a book of predictions for the world in the Telugu language which is titled Kaala jnaanam (कालज्ञानम्) . This monumental work of prophesies is an anthology of prose, poetry and songs.

He mentioned in his book that almost all people in the world would die of water at first and of fire at last. The huge fire balls will be man-made and so potentially destructive in their power that even mighty rivers might get evaporated. The fire balls will blaze like the second Sun on the horizon and people will become blind at their sight. They will die in an instant in their immediate positions of sitting, standing or sleeping. People will die such mass deaths that no one will be left to perform funeral rites for the dead. Several lakhs of survivors will flee their devastated villages, towns and cities for the woods where they die ultimately.
Afterwards the sky will lose its pristine blue and assume redness (like on Mars). The Earth will look like a vast empty ground (భూమి బట్టబయలై కనిపించును). Later, six prominent religions of the world will merge as one. (“ఆఱు మతములు ఒక్కటౌను - ఆకాశము ఎఱ్ఱనౌను”)

Still he said that a few people in the world would survive these mass deaths including 20 families from Andhra Pradesh. He also said that - after the destruction, some great saints equal to the Creator by their spiritual power would be born on the banks of a local river called Zurreidu (జుఱ్ఱేడు or जुर्रेडु) ) in the Southern Andhra Pradesh. According to him, they would re-create the lost species of animals, birds, fish and trees, besides detoxifying the atmosphere. He also mentioned the Srisailam mountains in Andhra Pradesh as the safest hideout for those who wish to escape this impending inferno.
He however adds that there would be several precursors in the run-up to the final destruction. It can actually be said that Kaala Jnaanam is all about such portents, like sex change operations, a rise in incest cases, an elevation in the status of the untouchable classes, use of high technology, the ill-effects of pollution, the Northerners immigrating to the South consequent to the drying up of the river Ganges after the 5,000 th year of Kali, various political developments etc. There are hundreds of such things that he spoke of - which do not fit in this small space. The dates given for the events predicted in Kaala jnaanam do not go beyond the 6th millennium of the Kali era. (It is only 116 years since we got past the 5th millennium of Kali). So it can be assumed that the end is NOT MANY millennia away.
Like several other saintly aphorisms on the world’s future, the style of Kaala Jnaanam too is mystical and subject to multiple interpretations as well as being abstruse at times. Besides, the prophesied events do not seem to be arranged in a perfect sequential or chronological order. Generally people come to know of their actual purport and veracity only after they came true. For example, Brahmam Gaaru prophesied that male children would be born with their testicles very close to their anuses . A few decades ago, people did not have an idea as to how this could happen. Now, a few of such cases are slowly coming to light and they are understood to be a result of the environmental pollution.
Another interesting thing about Kaala Jnaanam is - that Saint Brahmam Gaaru wrote it as a teenager while working as a shepherd under a local land lady. But you will rarely get to stumble upon its original full version which lies hidden in his Aashram at Kandhi Mallaya Palle of Kadapa district (AP). I accidentally came across another full version in Coastal Andhra in 1986 but hardly realized its importance as I was young and inexperienced at that time. But fortunately I still remember some of the prophesise therein which are not to be found in the abridged editions currently available in the market.
A commercially successful biopic on Brahmam Gaaru was made in 1982 by the legendary Telugu actor and politician late N.T. Rama Rao with himself in the lead role. If interested, you can watch it here. Unfortunately, it is devoid of Hindi dubbing but has subtitles in English.

Purans dont talk in terms of centuries or years but Manvantara ,Yugas Parardh and Kalpa .And as per them Kalki Avtaar would happen in “Triteeya charan” third phase of Kaliyug ,than Satyuga would be established again and than after some fourth phase would come and than Pralay would happen. Its our task to convert those period in years,
Its the first phase of Kaliyug “Pratham Charan” it would last till a lakh years more ,than its something like 2.5 lacs to 5 ;lac years for kalki Avtaar to happen .when he establishes dharma again, Satyug may sustain of 1 to 3 lac years and than fourth phase which is of shortest duration would bring Pralaya at the end ,when all Gods could not establish Dharma ,when avtaars and gods also give up ,when men becomes animal leaves good karmas and Deva worships ,MahaRudra wakes from his Samadhi and becomes angry seeing dushta people and there karma and he causes Pralay by mere his sight and everything is destroyed ,Pralayas are also of four kinds
First one is normal nemesis known as PRALAYA .It happens at the end of every kalpa at the evening of Bramha, it doesnt affect other lokas .
Than greater one happens once in 100 kalpas that is ATI PRALAYA , This is armageddon of many lokas of sentient beings astral people like yakahsa ,gandharvas ,pitras ,ganas and many such kind of astral supernatural beings and there planets.
Than greater one is MAHA PRALAYA which happens once in 10,ooo kalpas, at this pralay immortal devtas and there lokas are also destroyed which were intact during last two Pralayas whole universe is destroyed by Shree Mahakali and Mahakaal.
Than the greatest is RAUDRA PRALAYA it is most destructive of all Pralayas
In this Pralaya all gods and there divine Nitya lokas are also consumed by Maharudra ,No one exists apart from Mahakaali and Maharudra ,they do MAHA PRALAY SHMASHAN TAANDAV ,and they won,t leave any single thing by there fury and immense infinite power all Avtaars and Gods merge in them too ,and than Mahakaali also merges in Shiva during the dance and than three things remain only ,MAHARUDRA , KAALDEV (the time himslef) and AAKASH entire empty space .Furious Rudra devours them both too devouring whole space ,and when time himself gets consumed by RUDRA The rishis who witnessed such pralay through atman also go in Samadhi trance ,No body knows no Gods Avtaars, Rishis or Gyanis or Vedas what happens than .
But after long long time form Avyakat nirakaar joyitiroop Shiva Linga whole cosmos begins again ,ShivaJyotirLinga is kind of unlimited energy vortex which also acts as Black hole who devours everything and destroys everything way completely and he is White Vortex too from which all Universe and Guardian gods takes birth again .This description of PRALAYAS is given in all puraans from and personally i like description of YOG VASISHTHA the most ,This was something which was witnessed by chiranjeevee rishis whose life spans are more than Gods sometimes.For example Lomarsh Rishi ,he thinks his life is too short and expresses concern about it too ,Lets see his short life ,in one day of bramha one kalpa happens and 14 indras change ,such 365 days makes for one year and he lives for 100 such celestial years ,when 100 such bramhas period is over lomarsh rishis one hair strand falls anywhere from his body and he will live till all the hairs in his body fell down till now only few inches of his knee skin has lost few hairs ,and he has long jatas jatas ,yogis muscular tall young body too .He got such long life from Shivas Boon and he wanted long life for one purpose only doing Shiva Poojan his bahkti his stotras mantra kathas vedic descriptions ,shivas dhyan and meditation on shiva only .
Well this is what purans say and i trust them ,so relax armageddon is still a subject of fantasy and movies aint nothing happening like pralay etc .We are far way long away from it. And fortunately this the best time of Kaliyug its first Phase of Kaliyug ,Doing some sat karma, poojan,katha , yagna, japa daan dakshina etc brings 1000 fold fruits,The worship done for 1000 years of satyug ,requires 100 years of Treta and 10 years of dwapar and same fruit of worship is attained in one day proper vidhivat worship ,jaap ,yagna etc.
