What are some good Cantonese podcasts?

If you’re talking about Cantonese podcasts specifically designed for people who’re learning Cantonese (and I don’t mean introducing a word here and there - I mean fully featured podcasts in Cantonese tailored to Cantonese learners), I don’t know any that exist right now.

However, I would recommend a few shows that you can use to learn Cantonese:

1. 鏗鏘集 (hang1 coeng1 zaap6): An award winning documentary that details many of the most controversial societal issues - very useful to not only learn Cantonese, but also to better understand Hong Kong as a society and the local culture.

1. 果籽 (gwo2 zi2): This is a series I’ve stumbled upon on YouTube, and they have wonderful clips that span multiple themes like technology, health, lifestyle that many, I think, would find interesting. The best thing about these clips is that they’re short, and they’re really well put together (the production quality is top-notch), so they make really great Cantonese learning resources.

1. 愛回家 (oi3 wui4 gaa1): This is usually the drama series I recommend to friends learning Cantonese, because it’s family themed. It’s also been ongoing for many years now, so I think people can see actors depicting some common scenarios one is most likely to find oneself in a Cantonese speaking environment.

I see that the previous responses are from 2016 and 2017, so lemme introduce a podcast that started out in 2018 and is ongoing—mine!

It started out out of necessity for my job and it’s actually for both Canto and Mando but I think it’s the comparison between these two languages that make the podcast that much more interesting and relevant.

Don’t let the name of the podcast deter your interest because it goes beyond the realm of medical matters:
