First, it is still growing its ecosystem and Golang is not well-supported in many problem domains.
Second, the language makes many technical compromises in the interest of keeping the language small and simple. This rubs some people the wrong way.
I, for one, prefer small and simple programming languages.
Third, Golang has been one of the fastest rising languages in the history of computing. In a few short years, it has already become a Top 10 language in several rankings: #10 at TIOBE, #9 at IEEE Spectrum, and #4 at GitHut 2.0. At RedMonk, it’s #14.
This drives anti-Golang people nuts, so if you’re a Golang developer, you will incur their enmity. You must remain vigilant to the possibility of attack.
