First off I have to say I am a cis person so I have no personal experience in the matter but I am formulating my answer based on general atmosphere.

Being homosexual or bisexual in Finland is pretty much a non-issue in the general opinion. If you ask religious fundamentalists it is being thrown in everyones face and young people are being indoctrinated and brainwashed. But those are in a minority even though they are really fighting against same sex marriage and adoption right. However starting March 1st 2017 same-sex marriage is legal as is adoption. Surrogate parents are however illegal.

The churches choose for themselves if they are willing to marry a same sex couple.

So even though it might be for some an abomination most of us Finns really do not care if you're gay or straight or in between.

If we go to the T in LGBT then things are not so great - yet. Being transgender requires you to be diagnosed, sterilized and you have to be at least 18 years old to even start hormone treatment. So there is a lot of work to be done to change laws for transgenders.
