What is the best way to prepare for a 500 Startups interview?

Our startup (Qwikwire) has been selected for an interview next week and would appreciate some pointers. Thanks!

I'm not an interviewer myself, but having gone through the process, reviewed some applications [1], and helped a couple of companies prepare, keep in mind the interviewers would be looking for mainly 2 things -

  • Hear the founders explain the company in their own words and voice.
  • Go over and hash out any concerns they may have about the application.

Regarding the first point, you just need to have your basic pitch distilled and down pat. Hopefully you do if you got an interview. For the 2nd point it's a bit harder to prepare since you probably believed you put all the information needed when you submitted your application. If you purposely left anything out (like metrics - since you don't have any, or missing skillsets in the founding team - again since you don't have it), prepare to explain why it is the case and how you will overcome it. The reference I gave below might provide some ideas as to what those concerns might be.
