This is an amazing book that is the bible of productivity.

Effectiveness doesn't come from the systems and tools you use. It comes from within.

Personal integrity is the starting point of effectiveness and I love that Covey started from this angle.

If you are integral, your deeds will follow your declarations. If you aren't not even the best time management system will guarantee that your deeds and declarations will match.

I also think that the last three parts ('Habits') are reserved for leaders. The bigger is your responsibility and the higher your leadership position, the more applicable they will be.

But for common mortals, the first four parts are enough. And they will naturally move toward leadership.

When I re-read "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" in autumn 2012 I was nobody. But I did my homework and focused on the first 4 parts of the book. Today hundreds of thousands people read my articles every month and thousands of people follow me on social media. I became a leader.

I found especially worthy the idea of creating a personal mission statement. It made a huge difference in my life. I operate with the end in mind every day of my life.
